T. Mead Banjos

T. Mead Ukuleles come in two shapes; the standard and the "banjo uke" form. Both styles are available in either a tenor or concert model and share available options and wood choices.

Banjo ukes are similar in shape to a ukulele popular in the early 1900's called a "camp uke"; these instruments were built of solid wood with the round wooden"pot". T. Mead ukes differ from these turn-of-the-century instruments both in dimension and tonal quality and offer a much higher level of craftsmanship and playability.

The Standard Concert Ukulele The Standard Concert Ukulele is the shape and sound which most people recognize as "the" ukulele. It is tuned G - C - E - A. Price: $475.00

The Tenor Ukulele

The Tenor Ukulele has a deeper tone than the Concert Uke. It is tuned G - C - D - A.
